Thanks to a number of eight-digit auction sales, a record $441 million in total sales were generated over the 13-day Mecum auto auction at Osceola Heritage Park. The show closed with 4,500 vehicles consigned for auction and over 140,000 attendees passing through the gates.
“As far as quality goes, this year’s Kissimmee event is shaping up as the very best ever, as far as the tremendous number of high-quality vehicles being consigned for auction,” said Harold Geddes, General Manager of Mecum Auctions, during the auctions set up in early January.
That comment proved wildly prophetic, as 2026 has been another “Year of the Ferrari,” at what Mecum bills as the “World’s Largest Collector Car Auction.”
In addition to the premier Bachman Ferrari Collection, there were nearly forty other collections, such as The Apex Collection, The Cliff Ernst Collection, The Peter Todo Collection, The Jack Shewmaker Collection, and The Funkmaster Flex Collection.
Mecum Kissimmee 2026 saw a record $124 million in combined sales for the top 10 Ferraris. With the forty-seven cars from The Bachman Ferrari Collection, along with other Ferraris being offered this year, Mecum set a record for total number of Ferraris available at any collector auction, ever. The considerable number of Ferraris set the tone for a huge number of high-end vehicles for this year.
The top seller this year, as expected, was a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO, the only factory white example ever produced, which sold for $38.5 million. Eight Ferraris from the late Phil Bachman’s collection shattered multiple records, with a yellow 2003 Enzo reaching an unprecedented $17.875 million. Records also fell for many of the Ferrari models offered for auction. The top sellers were mostly low mileage, with unique specifications or qualities, which was said to have created a “feeding frenzy” among Ferrari collectors. Here is a full list of the top sellers:
1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 Alloy—$6.05 million
2006 Ferrari FXX—$6.325 million
2015 Ferrari LaFerrari—$6.71 million
1985 Ferrari 288 GTO— $8.525 million
2017 Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta—$11 million
2003 Ferrari Enzo (Rosso Dino)—$11.11million
1995 Ferrari F50—$12.21 million
2003 Ferrari Enzo (Giallo Modena)—$17.875 million
1962 Ferrari 250 GTO (Only Factory White)– $38.5 million
The fact that several high-end autos were being sold to benefit various charities also contributed to the record high dollar volume, with any amount of the purchase above “fair market value” counts as a charitable contribution for a buyer. Sales of three vehicles from The Johnson’s Horsepower Garage Collection benefitted Operation Healing Forces, which serves the needs of America’s wounded, ill, injured, and fallen Special Operations Forces service members, veterans, their families, caregivers, and survivors.
Mecum Auctions also continued its long-term support of Curing Kids Cancer this year by auctioning off special Mecum memorabilia daily. Several other vehicles and items are being auctioned in support of various charities, including Spina Bifida Jacksonville.
Th Mecum Auto Auction continues to be the largest recurring annual event held at Osceola Heritage Park. Osceola Heritage Park saw over 140,000 visitors during the 13-day marquee event.
