Public hearings for Sunbridge Parkway expansion next week

Osceola County will hold a Public Hearing regarding the Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study for the extension of Sunbridge Parkway next week.

A virtual meeting will be held Tuesday, Feb. 3, and an in-person event on Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 6 p.m. at the St. Cloud Community Center.

The Public Hearing is being held to give residents an opportunity to view the location, conceptual design, and environmental effects of the proposed southern extension of Sunbridge Parkway to Nova Road. The road is expected to be a new north-south corridor that will ultimately connect U.S. Highway 192 to State Road 528 (the Beachline Expressway) in eastern Orange County.

The extension of Sunbridge Parkway is a proposed four-lane divided roadway linking U.S. 192 and Nova Road. In addition to the roadway widening, proposed improvements include enhanced access management, roundabouts for safer traffic flow, wildlife crossings, and stormwater management facilities.

All hearing materials, including the presentation, will be available on the Project website at one.osceola.org/ sunbridgeparkway prior to the hearing. Technical reports will also be made available at the Veterans Memorial St. Cloud Library and the Osceola County Administration Building for public view from through Feb. 4.
