Applications for City of Kissimmee's School of Government now open

The City of Kissimmee is now accepting applications for the 2026 version of its popular School of Government program.

This eight-week program offers the opportunity for those who live, work, or own a business within the Kissimmee city limits the chance to get an inside look at Kissimmee's local government operations, engage with city leaders, and learn how the city delivers services.

The program runs for eight weeks, meeting each Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. starting March 25. The limited spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis; apply online at kissimmee.gov/schoolofgovernment by Friday, Feb. 6.

The program will feature presentations from city leaders, providing insights into the roles and functions of its various departments. The program also includes meet & greets with representatives from the city's partner agencies like Toho Water Authority and Kissimmee Utility Authority.

Upon completion of the program, participants will be invited to a special graduation dinner and will receive a certificate.
