Kissimmee woman killed in crash along Poinciana Boulevard, FHP says

A 55-year-old Kissimmee woman was killed shortly after midnight Thursday when the car she was riding in was involved in a collision along Poinciana Boulevard, the Florida Highway Patrol reports.

According to the FHP report,, the crash occurred at the intersection of Woodmont Boulevard and Poinciana Boulevard, near Knights Point K-8 school, around 12:20 a.m. Troopers say a 2024 Kia Forte failed to yield at a stop sign and entered the path of a southbound Honda Accord on Poinciana, which struck the Kia on its left side.

Emergency responders transported both drivers and two passengers, which included two 24-year-old females and a 39-year-old male (the Honda driver), all from Kissimmee, to HCA Florida Osceola Hospital, troopers said. The 55-year-old, the back seat passenger in the Kia, was pronounced deceased at the hospital 

The crash remains under investigation by authorities.
