Osceola County Sheriff's deputies this week made arrests in a Nov. 5 armed home invasion at an Airbnb residence in Davenport.
According to police a female juvenile victim, a group of males exited their vehicle, in front of the Leader Street. residence dressed in black and wearing ski masks. The victim was forced into the residence and as the group of home invaders entered the house an altercation occurred. Property was forcibly taken from the victim. Shots were fired, from both the suspects and other guests that were within the residence. Both the suspects and people that were inside of the house fled the residence.
Detectives noted that there were multiple pistol and rifle casings inside and outside of the residence, and bullet holes were seen throughout the interior walls, and the rear sliding glass door was shattered. Deputies canvassed the area and located two suspects that were positively identified by the victim. Both were placed under arrest:
Devante Elijah Joseph, 21, and Markel Ja’Marion Bailey, 20, were arrested in the vicinity of the crime, each charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, shooting into an occupied dwelling, grand theft, armed robbery with a firearm and criminal mischief. They were booked into the Osceola County Jail.
On Monday, more arrests were made in the case in Orange County: Alvan Dimy Civil, 22, and Jaiquan Darius Hill, 20, were arrested Monday, and Ronnall Lachasta Jr., 20, was arrested Tuesday; they were booked into the Orange County jail.
