Prancing Horse Power: Ferraris rolling into Mecum Jan. 6-18

If Mecum Kissimmee, the “World’s Largest Collector Car Auction”, was trying to set itself apart from previous auctions, which have seen numerous classic pieces sell for seven-figure amounts, it may do that this January courtesy of Christopher Miele and Prancing Horse of Nashville.

They have come together to present the Phil and Martha Bachman Ferrari Collection—one of the most preeminent private Ferrari assemblages in the world—at this year’s event at Osceola Heritage Park Jan. 6-18.

“The Bachman collection reflects decades of passion and discernment in regards to the Ferrari marque,” Mecum shared with the media this month. “From early icons to modern supercar legends, this collection captures the timeline of Ferrari performance, innovation and design. This landmark consignment presents collectors with an unprecedented opportunity to acquire cars long held in private care, now poised to make history on the global stage.”

Comprising 48 automobiles, the Phil and Martha Bachman Collection will showcase iconic road and competition models, most preserved and maintained in remarkably original, low-mileage condition, and exist as final-production examples.

“From rare vintage grand tourers to modern-era supercars ordered from the factory by the Bachman family, each car reflects decades of discerning stewardship and an unwavering commitment to collecting only the finest examples,” Mecum said. “Presented together for the first time, this offering represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity for collectors to acquire vehicles long held in private hands—an extraordinary moment destined to make headlines across the global collector car market.”

Mecum.com will have more on the expected pieces to be showcased and auctioned at the 2026 event, one of the OHP hosts annually.
