UPDATE — Suspect wanted in Kissimmee fatal shooting captured in Orange County

FRIDAY 12:30 A.M. UPDATE — The Osceola County Sheriff's Office announced late in the night that murder suspect Shahzaib Ahmed Khan was arrested in Orange County just before 11 p.m.

Following a tip that came into the Osceola County Sheriff's Office around 9 p.m., he was located in the Tangelo Park area of south Orange County and arrested without incident. During a search of the property he was located at, homicide detectives located two guns and "a large quantity" of cannabis, Sheriff's Office officials said, who also noted both the suspect and victim had a history of drug charges in Orange County.

Ahmed Khan was was booked into the Orange County jail on the murder charge. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office will be processing the large quantity of drugs.

 

THURSDAY — The Osceola County Sheriff's Office is searching for the suspect in an early Wednesday morning death investigation at a West U.S. Highway 192 hotel.

Deputies are on the lookout for 33-year-old Shahzaib Ahmed Khan, who deputies say should be considered armed and dangerous — if you come in contact with him use caution and notify the Sheriff’s Office (407-348-222) or call 911.

Around 1 a.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to a reported medical emergency at The Irlo Hotel extended stay apartments on 192 just east of Seralago Boulevard. They discovered a man lying face down outside the hotel. The individual, later identified as 37-year-old David Donahue-Alayon of Orlando, was found deceased from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Evidence pointed to Ahmed Khan as the suspect, and have secured an arrest warrant for one count of murder with a firearm.

Law enforcement has classified him as armed and dangerous, urging the public to avoid any direct contact with him.
