The City of St. Cloud presents Homeschool Open House—St. Cloud Civic Center on Friday, Sept. 5 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Meet the staff at the Civic Center and explore opportunities for the upcoming year. The St. Cloud Civic Center offers a variety of homeschool activities including P.E., science, art, social club and Rays. Classes begin on Wednesday, Sept. 10. Come out Friday evening for the Movie at the Park at Hopkins Park. The Lion King will start at 7:45 p.m. Bring your chairs and blankets and enjoy this fun movie in the Park.

 

The next St. Cloud Main Street’s Breakfast of the Pros takes place on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 8 a.m. at VFW Hall Post 3227, 915 New York Ave. This event will spotlight two additions to downtown St. Cloud. Terry Weaver of Lillie/Olde Florida Riverboat Company will present an update on her and her husband’s new venture at the St. Cloud Lakefront. There will also be an update from Museum of Military History Executive Director and St. Cloud Mayor Chris Robertson, who will share news about the historic Grand Army of the Republic where new developments are underway in downtown St. Cloud.

Also on the 9th, the City of St. Cloud’s Toddler Sports Tuesday Program begins. Every Tuesday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the St. Cloud Civic Center, toddlers ages 2-4 will be introduced each week to a new sport— basketball, soccer, cheerleading or t-ball. There are 2 events this month that will give you the opportunity to check out very different City of St. Cloud venues.

The St. Cloud Marina Banquet Hall Open House will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. at 1104 Lakeshore Blvd. Event professionals will be available to answer questions. The Ranch at St. Cloud (5452 Jones Road), will hold an Open House on Wednesday, Sept. 17 from 5-7 p.m. Explore the scenic beauty of this 219-acre estate featuring oak trees, a private lake and indoor/outdoor spaces. As the sun begins to set, Amazing Animals Preserve comes to life! Capybaras at Sunset, presented by Amazing Animals, is a magical evening filled with animal encounters. A limited number of guests begin the evening with a drink during check-in and the chance to mingle with some animal ambassadors. This event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 20 and 27 and Saturday, Oct. 18 and 25 from 5-6:30 p.m. each day. The Preserve is located at 4235 Rambler Ave.

 

Save the date for the St. Cloud Women’s Club 10th Annual Craft Show and Scholarship Fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the St. Cloud Community Center. Rotary Club of St. Cloud’s Rotary’s Roaring 20’s Casino Night takes place on Friday, Sept. 27 from 5-9 p.m. at VFW Post 3227, 910 New York Ave. The $75 donation included buy-in, drink ticket and tapas. The theme is 1920’s Glam with music, cocktails and more. There will be a casino with blackjack, poker, roulette and craps.
