It’s that time—schedule your Halloween wedding ‘Scare-a-mony’ with the Clerk

Are you a fan of Halloween, the costumes, the fanfare and the fun?

Want an anniversary date you’ll never forget?

Thanks to the office of Osceola County Clerk of Court & Comptroller Kelvin Soto, you can combine the two.

For the fourth year in a row, the county will invite 16 couples to to tie the knot in spook-tacular style and say, “I Do, my Boo” on Halloween at the now-annual HalloWedding Group Wedding “Scare-A-Mony” and reception.

Soto and his team call it “An enchanting celebration of eternal love.”

“Celebrating love on Halloween brings a special kind of magic. It’s an honor to officiate this joyful, one-of-akind event for couples seeking something truly memorable,” Soto said.

This ceremony will be held at the Historic Osceola County Courthouse, Florida’s oldest continuously operating courthouse. Its timeless charm provides the perfect backdrop for couples to marry their “best ghoul”—or boy—and exchange vows surrounded by history, romance, and a touch of Halloween whimsy—there’s no confirmation whether the old courthouse is haunted by the Osceolans of the past.

Following the ceremony, couples and their guests will enjoy a festive reception with sweet treats, beverages, themed music, and fun-filled photo opportunities. Each couple will receive a commemorative certificate and a printed keepsake photo to forever mark the occasion.

This is the event that inspired other Clerk’s Office themed wedding events, like nuptials in a “Winter Wonderland” and on Valentine’s Day.

Guests and couples are encouraged to dress in family-friendly Halloween costumes, adding to the day’s enchantment and fun.

Participation is complimentary; however, statutory marriage license fees apply. Couples must register in person during their marriage license appointment at the Osceola County Courthouse. Registration is open from Sept. 1 through Friday, Oct. 17, or until all spots are filled. Early registration is strongly encouraged due to high demand.
