A Lake Wales man was killed late Sunday night when his car veered off a ramp leading into Disney World and into a concrete column, Florida Highway Patrol reported overnight.
According to the FHP report, The 52-year-old was driving his Audi A3 on the northbound World Drive ramp from U.S. Highway 192. The driver failed to negotiate the right-hand curve, ran off the roadway left and collided with a concrete support column for the overpass. The driver was pronounced dead on the scene.
The crash remains under investigation, troopers say.
