Kissimmee motorcyclist killed in Saturday Orange Avenue crash

A 30-year-old Kissimmee man was killed late Saturday afternoon when Florida Highway Patrol troopers say he failed to negotiate a curve on Orange Avenue and was thrown from his bike.

The incident occurred around 5:12 p.m. Saturday just north of Mary Louis Lane. According to FHP's report, the rider was headed southbound on his Yamaha motorcycle when he missed the curb, traveled onto the shoulder and struck a guardrail. Troopers said the impact knocked him from the motorcycle. He was pronounced dead on scene.

The crash remains under investigation, FHP says.
