Per the Osceola County School District, School Board chair Heather Kahoun will serve as Vice President of the Florida School Boards Association (FSBA) for the coming term.
The selection was made, including Orange County School Board Member Angie Gallo' election as President.
"I'm honored to serve as Vice President of FSBA and continue Osceola County's strong legacy of leadership within the association. Our school board has a proud history of contributing to FSBA's mission, with former board member Tim Weisheyer having served as President and current Vice-Chair Terry Castillo also serving on the FSBA executive leadership team," Kahoun said.
"This tradition reflects our deep commitment to advancing public education not just in Osceola County, but across Florida, and I look forward to working with my fellow officers to support school boards statewide in their vital work of serving our students and communities."
