Investigation from November sexual abuse case leads to arrest of St. Cloud man, additional charges

The Osceola County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Saint Cloud man they say was working as a Chik-fil-A manager and charged him with 24 counts of sexual battery by a custodian after two female victims came forward saying Daniel Ryan Lamppin sexually abused them as a foster parent, Sheriff Marcos Lopez said.

Lamppin, 40, was taken into custody Tuesday as the result of an investigation that began in November 2024.

Lopez said Lamppin has had access to children through his employment at the Chick-fil-A on South Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando and as a youth pastor at Connection Church in St. Cloud, which met at the Osceola Council on Aging. The department asked if anyone else may be a victim to come forward to the Sheriff's Office by calling 407-348-2222.

"There is a concern there are other victims," Lopez said. "It's sad and sickening. This guy infiltrates a restaurant chain with high Christian values, and then a church as a youth pastor. These monsters exist. Maybe he uses religion as a cover-up. I'm glad these victims came forward, because now he's going to jail."

One of the victims, now 15, reported being sexually battered by a foster parent, Daniel Lamppin from the ages of 6 to 8. The other victim said the abuse started when she was 16 and continued "for years," said Lopez, who noted she is now an adult.

Lopez said Lamppin is married, and that the wife is being investigated. Lamppin is also being investigated by Orange County authorities, and Lopez said DCF is also involved in the investigation.

Lamppin has no prior criminal history in Osceola County.
