St. Cloud Hospital listed among Best Places to Work in Healthcare, debuts extended patient dining service
For the fourth consecutive year, Orlando Health St. Cloud Hospital has been selected by Modern Healthcare among its 2025 Best Places to Work in Healthcare.
It’s Advanced Rehabilitation Institute and Jewett Orthopedic Institute were also nominated.
Per the health care group, the award “Identifies and recognizes outstanding employers in the healthcare industry nationwide. Modern Healthcare partners with Workforce Research Group on the assessment process, which includes an extensive employee survey.”
“It’s really exciting to repeatedly earn this distinction at our Orlando Health facilities,” said Colleen Harper, Orlando Health vice president of human resources. “For our patients to receive the best care possible, we need our team members engaged and happy to come to work each day, which is why Orlando Health is always striving to be the best place to work.”
The hospital also announced it has launched a new afterhours dining service for patients, providing hot meals to anyone unable to eat during regular dining hours due to medical treatment, testing or a late hospital admission. The extended service is available Monday through Friday 7-9 p.m. Initiated in April, it served 91 patients last month.
“We recognize the critical role of nutrition in our patients’ recovery,” said Tammy Foster, director of food and nutrition. “This new service is a simple, but powerful way to support the comfort and healing needs of the patients we are grateful to care for.”
OSCAR collects for mothers in need through Movers for Moms Campaign
Every year, Two Mean and a Truck movers work with shelters across the country to collect essential care items for women in need, especially during the springtime when the Movers for Moms campaign is in full swing. Osceola REALTORS and its REALTORS Care committee recently rallied its members to “Make Their Mother Proud” by contributing to this heartfelt donation drive.
The committee was able to donate over 1,000 items to the Movers for Moms initiative. These donations included essentials like diapers, socks, underwear, food, household products, kitchenware, personal hygiene products, pain relief medicine, and gift cards.
“Supporting mothers, especially those who may be struggling, is one of the most powerful ways we can give back to our community. We know that even in the toughest of times, a mother’s strength is unmatched. This drive is not only about providing essential items, but also about sending a message of hope and solidarity to those who need it most. Our members are proud to be a part of this campaign, and we’re honored to help uplift families in need,” said REALTORS Care Committee Chair Alex Zweydoff.
