ST. CLOUD NEWS — Celebrate St. Cloud’s history Saturday

Celebrate National Historic Preservation Month on Saturday, May 17 from 2-8 p.m. as the City of St. Cloud honors the history of the City.  Enjoy speakers, historic plaque presentations and light refreshments at this free community event in collaboration with St. Cloud Main Street, with topics like, 

“The State Your In: Florida Men, Florida Women and Other Wildlife”, “Telling Florida Stories” and “The Politics of Preservation; A Road Map for Saving Your Town’s Historic Buildings”.  Light refreshments will be served.For more information, call 407-891-9355.

 

Don’t forget, this weekend is the spring city-wide St. Cloud Garage Sale weekend. From Friday through Sunday, residents can hold garage sales at their homes without requiring a permit.

 

Summer Kick-off Home School Event takes place on Friday, May 16 from 1-4 p.m. at the Chris Lyle Aquatic Center.  There will be music, food and swimming fun.  The fee is $10 per participant.  Register at www.webtrac.stcloudfl.gov.

 

The next City of St. Cloud’s Movie at the Lakefront will be on Friday, May 16 and begins promptly at dusk.  The movie will be Moana 2.  Bring comfortable chairs and blankets.

Come back on the 17th for Zumba-Gold in the Park from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. This day of fitness, including Zumba-Gold and other exercise movements is a free fitness event open to all activity levels. For more information, call 407-957-7243.

Show your support and gratitude by purchasing a commemorative sign to honor those who have served.  The City of St. Cloud’s Hometown Heroes commemorative signs will be displayed at the Annual Memorial Day and Wreaths Across America event at Mt.
