POINCIANA NEWS — Networking event and more at Poinciana Library!

There is a new networking event in town!  Stop by the Poinciana Library on Thursday, May 15 from 6:30-8 p.m.  Passionate Business Networking Event is an exclusive networking group of professionals and entrepreneurs from Poinciana and the surrounding areas.  In this networking and collaboration session there is an opportunity potential clients and partners. For more information, contact Eliza Joy at 786-384-3581 or Tiffany at 407-460-1323.

Learn how to protect your health and wealth by attending Retirement 101 on Friday, May 16 at 10 a.m. presented by AmeriLife, prepare for your future and find out how the decisions you make today may impact your retirement plans. 

Hang around for the afternoon to Paint the Town from 1-2 p.m. Presented by local artist Dominque Jarrett, unlock your creativity by painting a masterpiece.  Supplies are provided and registration is required.  To register, call the Poinciana Library at 407-742-8888.

Dungeons and Dragons will be played at the Library on Saturday, May 17 from 2-4 p.m. Use your imagination and problem-solving skills, while meeting and socializing with others who enjoy role-playing games.  Dice are not provided, registration is required.  To register, call the library.

Rhythm, Rhyme and Story Time takes place on Tuesday, May 20 from 10:30-11 a.m.  Preschoolers to age 5 can sing, swing and sway through this program.  This fun filled learning program helps your child develop their vocabulary, counting skills, creative thinking and listening skills.  This week’s story is in celebration of Asian America & Pacific Islander Heritage Month. 

Baby & Me will be from 11:30 a.m.-noon.  This story time introduces books with playtime and repetitive music.  Ages birth to 18 months.

Separating business and personal finances presented by Truist Bank takes place the 20th from 2-3 p.m.  Learn how to keep your business and personal finances separate as you mark progress toward your work and life goals. 

Finally on Tuesday, E.S.O.L. for Beginners takes place from 6:30-8 p.m.  This class helps non-English speakers become more familiar with the English language. 

LEGO Club for school age children ages 6-11 happens on Wednesday, May 21 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. This week’s program is in celebration of Asian America & Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Use your imagination, creativity and engineering skills to complete one of the challenges or make something uniquely yours.   

The Mobile Museum of Tolerance is bringing its Interactive Learning Experience on Wheels to the Library on May 22-23.  Engage with powerful exhibits from the Civil Rights Movement, Anne Frank and the role of ordinary people during the Holocaust.  Knowledge staff will be on hand to answer questions.  The exhibit is wheelchair accessible.
