Health First Health Plans proud to grow with Osceola County

Last year, the not-for-profit Health First Health Plans insurance company, which started in Brevard County, expanded to include Osceola County.

The move combines an experienced Central Florida company with one of the fastest growing counties in the nation. Health First Health Plans is dedicated to offering high-quality, low-cost plans to individuals and families.

There are plans for every budget, including some with a $0 premium for those who qualify.

As part of this approach, Health First Health Plans partnered with AdventHealth, which has five locations in Osceola County. This agreement strengthens the existing network of caregivers to help ensure more convenient access to care for those in the area.

“We’re dedicated to improving the health and wellness of our members,” said Matt Gerrell, president, Health First Health Plans. “We partner with healthcare providers in a community to support a strong network to provide access to care close to where you live.”

Unlike with many national health insurers, the customer-service representatives and agents Health First Health Plans’ customers interact with are locally based, which helps support higher customer satisfaction.

Health First Health Plans is designed to manage healthcare needs with access, ease, and excellence, offering plans to fit every budget, wellness goal, and lifestyle. Depending on the plan, benefits include pediatric and adult dental care, mental health treatment, virtual health and urgent care.

Health First Health Plans also offers Medicare Advantage plans in certain counties. And is ranked in the top 10% of all Medicare Advantage plans in the country.*.

“Osceola County is very personal to me. From Old Town to Saint Cloud to Celebration. My kids went to elementary school in Osceola,” said Gerrell. “This area holds a special place in my heart.”

Health First Health Plans team members, who are often seen in their iconic purple shirts, are having a busy Spring in Osceola. They’ll be at the Osceola Community Health Services festival in Old Town, the Spring Resources Expo hosted by the Osceola Council on Aging and the Senior Life Spring Wellness Expo.

“We encourage people to talk with our team members and learn about how we provide a variety of health insurance options to meet their needs,” he added.

Health First Health Plans is proud to serve Central Florida for nearly 30 years. Plans are currently available in 15 counties in Florida.
