ST. CLOUD NEWS: Let your Irish show — Paint the Town Green!

Get ready for a fun St. Patrick’s Day Celebration with the City of St. Cloud’s Paint the Cloud Green—Light Parade & Street Party on Saturday, Mar. 15 from 7:30 to 11 p.m. The night includes live music by the Supervillains, Sammi’s Kid’s Zone, food trucks and more. The parade starts at Lakeshore Boulevard, proceeds along Pennsylvania Avenue to 11th Street to Massachusetts Avenue and finishes at Lakeshore Boulevard.

There will be a St. Cloud drive-through food distribution on Friday. Mar. 14 at 11 a.m. Sponsored by the members of the St. Cloud City Council, Hopkins Heroes and the City of St. Cloud, This food distribution will be held at 3101 Progress Lane near Budinger and Nolte. First come-first served until food runs out.

Roll up your sleeves! There will be a OneBlood Donation Drive on Tuesday, Mar. 18 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the St. Cloud Police Department. SCPD is offering citizens a convenient location to provide blood donations. Donors must be over 16 years old and over.

The 7th Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, an event presented by Help Now of Osceola, Inc. This event happens on Wednesday, Mar. 26 at 6 p.m. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes provides men the opportunity to help raise domestic abuse awareness by walking downtown St. Cloud wearing high heel shoes. The Walk will start at St. Cloud City Hall and proceed through St. Cloud’s downtown district in conjunction with the Monthly Market. Sponsors for this event are Help Now, Osceola County Domestic Violence Task Force, St. Cloud Main Street, Toho Water Authority and KUA. All are welcome.

Pickleballers unite! Play for a purpose on Saturday, Mar. 29th, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at ONE+ Pickleball Club, 1790 East Irlo Bronson Hwy Bring a team and represent your brand for this Pickleball Classic presented by MidFlorida Credit Union. The fee is $50 per player for this 2-person co-ed team. Every team that signs up help benefits UCP of Osceola, which provides support for individuals with cerebral palsy and other challenges. The Borrow Pit Pond Fishing Derby takes place on Saturday, Mar. 29 from 9-11 a.m. at Borrow Pit Pond on Budinger Avenue across from St. Cloud Elementary School.
