Are you feeling lucky? Bingo with a St. Patrick’s Day flair takes place on Friday, Mar. 14 at the Poinciana Community Center (445 Marigold Ave.). Doors open at 6, Bingo starts at 7 with 10 games for $5 with a cash payout for winners. Concession stand will be open for food and drinks, (no outside food or drinks allowed in Bingo Hall). The event is for ages 18 and up.

Spring is in the air! Marigolds are being planted on Marigold Avenue, one of Poinciana’s busiest and main thoroughfares. Poinciana Beautification, a division of Public Works, is working to add color to all of Poinciana’s common areas, all year long.

The Association of Poinciana Village’s (APV) LifeStyles is planning it’s Egg-stravaganza and Spring Fest on Saturday, April 19 (a day before Easter) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Community Yard behind the Victory Pool on Marigold Avenue. The Egg-stravaganza features egg hunts, inflatables, games food trucks, vendors and more.

The next Get Hired! Essential job skills series takes place on Thursday, Mar. 13 from 10-11 a.m. Build or polish your resume, create a stand-out cover letter and master interviewing skills that will help you land the job you like.

A Community Blood Drive takes place on Saturday, Mar. 15 from 1-6 p.m. at the Poinciana Library. OneBlood’s Big Red Bus will be onsite to receive your life saving donation. Borrowing for Small Businesses, presented by Truist Bank takes place on Tuesday, Mar. 18 from 2-3 p.m. Learn your business’s financial options and how a lending process works to achieve a more successful outcome.

Tonight is the night! The Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) is hosting an Alternative Public Workshop for the Southport Connector Expressway Project Development & Environment (PD&E) Study. This proposed 15-mile Expressway would extend from Poinciana Pkwy. through Cypress Pkwy. and connect to Florida Turnpike and Canoe Creek Road.

Your input is important. Share your thoughts, ask questions and learn more about the proposed plans to improve local travel and relieve traffic congestion in the Poinciana area.

Workshop details: in-person meeting— Thursday, Mar. 13 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in 2 locations—Poinciana Community Center, 445 Marigold Ave. (exhibits and staff interactions) and the Anthony DePalma Event Center, 395 Marigold Ave. (looping presentation). The in-person meeting will be an open house format—drop-in at any time to view exhibits, ask questions and share your feedback.
