With the one-year anniversary of the disappearance and death of 13-year-old Kissimmee student Madeline Soto approaching, a remembrance service will be held on Saturday in St. Cloud.
Soto's friends and advocates will gather at 5 p.m. at St. Cloud Lakefront Park.
There will be a music tribute selected by those close to Maddie, as well as t-shirts available for a donation, with the hopes of raising funds for a permanent memorial bench in the county.
Well-wishers are asked to wear green or lavender as a symbol of support.
Soto was reported missing by her family the evening of Feb. 26, 2024. Her body was discovered south of St. Cloud four days later.
