Mexico-based real estate developer MB Signature Properties Wednesday broke ground on a resort-style townhome community in west Kissimmee that officials say could bring an economic impact of a quarter-billion dollars to the area.
The planned Princess Village development, north and west of the city of Kissimmee off Seven Dwarfs Lane less than a mile from West U.S. Highway 192, is slated to feature 64 fully-furnished short-term rental townhomes measuring 1,315 square feet. Developers expect the units to sell for between $490,000 to $550,000, and as vacation rental units would fetch nightly rates in the $200 range. They will come will amenities like swimming pools, a basketball court, BBQ area and children's playground.
The development is expected to cost $25 million to complete with completion planned for 2026, MB Signature officials said, and at full capacity Princess Village would generate approximately $32 million in new home sales and $225,000 annually in Tourist Development Tax revenue, aside from the construction and other related jobs it would create.
“This is more than just a development—it’s our legacy and commitment to bringing world-class projects to Central Florida while creating jobs and opportunities for the local community,” said Miguel Barbosa Marín, founder of MB Signature Properties.
According to its Spanish-language website (www.princessorlando.com), following Princess Village the developer plans to build an 18-story luxury resort near Disney Springs, with construction set to begin in 2026 after Princess Village's development.
“Osceola County is a place of incredible potential, and we are honored to be part of its continued growth,” Barbosa Marín said. “This is just the start of a journey that will bring world-class developments, create hundreds of jobs, and foster international collaboration.”
