Narcoossee History presents the Mosquito County Festival 2025 on Saturday, Feb. 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This family friendly event will be a day of fun, learning and community spirit. Mosquito County is the historic name of an early County that once encompassed most of eastern Florida. This large region included what is now the Counties of Volusia, Brevard, Indian River, St. Lucie, Marion, Martin, Seminole, Osceola, Orange, Lake, Polk and Palm Beach. This free event will be held at Narcoossee Elementary School, 2690 N. Narcoossee Road.
At the Festival, you will have a chance to explore this history through educational exhibits and activities for all ages. There will be art and craft vendors, kids activities, inflatables, food and drink and baked goods. All proceeds help preserve the 1886 School House.
The next St. Cloud Main Street’s Breakfast with the Pros takes place on Tuesday, Feb. 11 starting at 8 a.m. at VFW Hall Post 3227, 915 New York Ave. The free event will give an update on projects from the City of St. Cloud and Osceola County presented by St. Cloud City Manager Veronica Miller and Osceola County Chief of Staff Beth Knight. Breakfast will be provided by Chick-fil-A.
Meet the Garden Expert on Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. at the St. Cloud Library, 810 13th St. Grow your gardening skills with the support of the University of Florida/IFAS Master Gardener Volunteers. The team will also assist you with your gardening questions and challenges.
The City of St. Cloud presents their Annual Father-Daughter Dance on Saturday, Feb. 15th from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Marina Banquet Hall, 1104 Lakeshore Blvd. The fee is $10. This year’s theme is Emerald City. This event sells out quickly, so register at https://bit.ly/Father-Daughter-Dance-2025.
