Deeded property owners can vote in the Association of Poinciana Village Board elections on Tuesday, Feb. 11th from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Poinciana Community Center, 445 Marigold Ave.

APV's annual Adult Sweetheart Dance takes place on Saturday, Feb. 22 from 6-8 p.m. at the Anthony DePalma Event Center (395 Marigold Ave.)  This celebration for you and your sweetheart includes music for you to dance the night away, snacks and drinks at the cash bar. First Baptist Poinciana presents a free movie night on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 6 p.m. Enjoy this family movie night which also includes free popcorn and one free drink (other concessions available for purchase).  The movie Black Panther will be shown as part of the church’s Black History Month celebration.

University of South Florida Gospel Choir will present a concert on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 10 a.m.  First Baptist Poinciana is located at 601 Walnut St. 

 

The Osceola County Board of County Commissioners has renewed Osceola Prosper, which enables all High School graduates in Osceola County to earn a free Associate's or technical education degree with no out-of-pocket tuition cost.  Students must be enrolled full-time or part-time by Spring 2026 to qualify.

You must complete your 2025-2026 FAFSA to benefit.

Any remaining tuition and fees after FAFSA at Valencia College or Osceola Technical College will be covered through Osceola Prosper.

Love Makes Me Grow Inc., whose mission is to teach communities the value and importance of living off the land, will hold it’s first class of 2025 on Saturdays. March 1st, 8th, 15th and 23rd from 12-3:30 p.m.  Families are welcomed to sign up to learn how to grow their own sustainable garden.  Supplies and seeds will be provided for your own food and herb garden.  This is an opportunity to discover the joys of gardening, learn new techniques and connect with others over this 4-week course.
