ST. CLOUD NEWS: Rock in 2025 at Rockin’ the Cloud

Happy New Year St. Cloud! Get ready for Rockin’ the Cloud on New Year’s Eve, starting Tuesday at 7 p.m. and going through 1 a.m. on Wednesday, New Years Day.

This annual free event features live music and entertainment on multiple event stages.  This year’s performers will be Slickwood, Cubason, Afterglow and more.

Food and beverages will be available for sale. Elevate your experience with a VIP package.  The Cloud VIP package includes a private VIP cash bar, gourmet hors d’oeuvres, photo booth, VIP view of the main stage, private rest rooms, a meet and greet with the headliners and a swag gift.  VIP packages are $90 and can be purchased online at https://www.stcloudfl.gov/1678/Rockin-The-Cloud.

 

A Three Kings Celebration, an event by Orlando and St. Cloud Dream Center, will be held at BridgePrep Academy of St. Cloud (3691 Old Canoe Creek Road) on Saturday, Jan. 4 from 2-5 p.m.  This family friendly celebration will include gifts for the children, food, bounce house, music and vendors.

Don’t curb it … Swap it!  The annual Christmas Tree Swap will be held on Saturday, Jan. 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Peghorn Nature Park (2101 Peghorn Way).  Instead of throwing out your old Christmas tree to the curb, swap it out for a new tree to plant at home, and get the mulch from your old tree. Registration is now open at DawgTown for January classes.  Classes start Thursday, Jan. 9 and run through Thursday, Feb. 27.  Classes are held at the Narcoossee Center (5354 Rambling Road) every Thursday.  Morning classes are Puppy Star, Puppy Class from 9:30-10:30 a.m., evening class from 5:15-6:15 p.m.), Basic Obedience with Canine Good Citizen Test is from 10:45-11:45 a.m., evening class from 6:30-7:30 p.m.). Women2Women Connection hosted by the St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Osceola News-Gazette, will be presented on Thursday, Jan. 16 at 12 noon at Cornerstone Family Church, 2925 Canoe Creek Road. The event will feature speakers from One More Child, an organization dedicated to fighting human trafficking.  There will be other impactful talks as well.

Attendees can enjoy raffle prizes, vendor tables showcasing local businesses and a Red Sand Ceremony, which is performed to raise awareness of human trafficking.

The Red Sand Project first launched in 2014.  50 million individuals are trafficked or living in modern slavery.  Participants in the Red Sand Ceremony fill the cracks of sidewalks with the grains of red sand representing those who fall through the cracks of our social, economic, and political systems, or those of our personal consciousness.
