We've reached the time to celebrate, which means that many to most official offices, like government, utility and other offices will be closed for Christmas Eve and Day Tuesday and Wednesday, and will back to normal operations on Thursday the 26th. (Those same locations will also be closed next week on Wednesday, Jan. 1 for New Year's Day.)
Those who have trash collection in the county later this week will be slightly affected. All Wednesday collections will occur on Thursday, with Thursday trash routes picked up on Friday and Friday's on Saturday. Landfills and collection sites are closed through Wednesday.
The News-Gazette office will be open until the mid-afternoon Tuesday and closed Wednesday.
