ST. CLOUD NEWS — Run in the Great Outdoors on Saturday!

Saturday, Nov. 2 will be a busy day in the Cloud. The Will of the Land 5K and Great Outdoors Day happen at Lakeshore Park. The day starts with the Will Power Athletic Club and the City of St. Cloud’s Fun Run at the St. Cloud Lakefront.

Will of the Land 5K is the inaugural fundraiser for Will Power Athletic Club and it scholarship program. This program provides training, transportation and insurance for athletes who qualify with financial hardships. Awards for top male and female finishers in the different age groups and top team will be given. Participates receive a commemorative t-shirt, race medal and swag bag. The Great Outdoors Day directly follows the 5K. Explore and learn about the great outdoors at this family friendly event. Then, if you need evening entertainment, Capybaras at Sunset, an event by Amazing Animals, Inc., will take place on Saturday, Nov. 2 (and 9 and 16) at 5 p.m. all days at 4235 Rambler Ave.

‘As the sun starts to set, watch the preserve come to life! Meet Capybaras and so much more during this unique experience. A limited number of guests can enjoy a drink upon check-in while mingling with some of Amazing Animals Ambassadors. Stroll through the preserve with the main stops including the barnyard, Capybaras exhibits and an up-close, hands-on experience with several animals including goats, pigs and donkeys. Neptune Elementary School (1200 Betsy Ross Lane) presents a Hispanic Celebration on Wednesday, Nov. 6 from 4-6 p.m. The celebration features music, dancing, food and community fun.

There will be a free Veteran’s Resource Fair on Saturday, Nov. 9th from 12 to 3 p.m. at Veterans Park, 1201 13th St. Honoring the defenders of our freedom, the event includes resources, food trucks and live entertainment. For more information, call 407-957-7243.
