POINCIANA NEWS—Close out the summer at the Library

Conversational Spanish at the Poinciana Library takes place on Friday, Aug. 2 from 3-4 p.m. Engage with other speakers to practice your Spanish and improve your confidence and vocabulary.

A Crafters Fair will be held at the Library on Saturday, Aug. 3 from 12-4 p.m. Visit with local crafters and discover beautiful handmade items available for purchase.

E.S.O.L. for beginners will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 6:30-8 p.m. This session is to help those who need it to become more familiar with the English language.

Take and Make: Mandarin Chai Tea with Anise will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 7. This is an all-day event. Enjoy the health benefits of freshly made Chai Tea. Take and make kits are available for pickup on Wednesday, while supplies last.

All Library programs are free and open to the public.

 

Sign-ups are currently underway for Poinciana Little League Fall Ball 2024 (ages 4-16). Registration ends on Friday, Aug. 23 and the season runs from September to November (games begin the week of Sept. 9). Games and practices are at Poinciana Community Park, 5109 Allegheny Road Registration fee is $150 per player. Scholarships Through Every Kid Sports are available for those who qualify. Save the date! Osceola County Commissioner Brandon Arrington and the Osceola County Animal Shelter hosts a free micro-chip event on Saturday, Aug. 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Valencia College Poinciana Campus.
