Last warning, parents — and students! ...
School. Starts. Monday.
The School District of Osceola County encourages all Osceola students and parents to attend their school’s Meet The Teacher events to prepare for the 2024-2025 school year.
Familiarize yourself with your kids' teacher(s) at Meet The Teacher events this week:
Wednesday, Aug. 7: All high schools will host Meet The Teacher from 3:30 p.m.–5:30 p.m., including The Osceola County School for the Arts Grades 6-12.
Thursday, Aug. 8: All middle schools and K-8 schools will host Meet The Teacher from 3:30 p.m.–5:30 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 9: All elementary schools will host Meet the Teacher from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Students will have the chance to familiarize themselves with the teacher and classroom environments before the first day of school, which District officials say can reduce anxiety and help students feel more comfortable and confident. Meet the Teacher will also provide parents an opportunity to establish a personal connection with their child’s teacher(s), which can facilitate better communication and collaboration throughout the school year. Gaining an understanding of the teacher’s approach, expectations, and classroom policies will provide parents with the information they need to support their child’s learning.
