Toho Water Authority to shut off some irrigation services during non-watering hours; check here for details (see Thursday 5 p.m. Update)

THURSDAY 5 P.M. UPDATE — Due to dry weather and increased demand, Toho Water Authority (Toho) will be shutting off reclaimed irrigation services in the Poinciana area at 7 a.m. on Friday, May 10. This is necessary to build up the needed capacity at the facilities. Service is expected to be restored by 7 a.m. on Monday, May 13.

In an effort to refill reclamation water facility storage tanks depleted by high consumption, Toho Water Authority announced Wednesday it will be shutting off reclaimed irrigation services in the St. Cloud area during midday non-watering times.

This will occur from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting today (Wednesday, May 8). Service will also be shut off every Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Monday. This schedule will remain in place until further notice.

Harmony customers are not affected by this schedule, Toho Water officials said.

When service resumes, customers should continue their assigned irrigation schedules. Visit the Toho Water Watering Days and Times section on tohowater.com for your address-based schedule, or call 407-944-5124.

This comes after Toho Water alerted its Narcoossee Road area customers in March of temporary outages to their irrigation service over the coming weeks, as irrigation service would be shut off as needed to maintain pressure in the potable water system.
