Florida Highway Patrol reports a 62-year-old St. Cloud man was killed Saturday night when a pickup truck turned into his path on Holopaw Road (U.S. Highway 441).
According to the FHP report, just after 7:30 p.m. the Mitsubishi pickup was traveling south on Holopaw Road, approaching Concord Road, less than a mile south of U.S. Highway 192, at the same time a Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling north. The pickup truck driver made a left turn, into the direct path of the motorcycle. As a result of the collision, the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck, a 65-year-old man from St. Cloud, was not injured and remained on scene.
The crash, which resulted in a roadblock on Holopaw Road much of the night, remains under investigation, FHP says.
