Man arrested in Kissimmee for possessing child sex abuse material

An Osceola County Sheriff’s Office investigation led to the arrest Tuesday of a man in Kissimmee for possessing and sharing child sex abuse material.

Alvin Gonzalez-Lajara, 35, was arrested Tuesday and charged with 10 counts of possession of photos or videos of sexual performance by a child. The Osceola County Corrections department shows was also charged with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. He's been booked into the Osceola County Jail on no bond.  

The Sheriff's Office reported it's been conducting a proactive investigation into individuals file sharing child sex abuse material over the internet. A target address within its jurisdiction was identified during the investigation. 

Tuesday, detectives with the Sheriff's Internet Crimes task force served a search warrant at a home on Cascades Boulevard in Kissimmee regarding this incident. The suspect was identified as Gonzalez-Lajara. During the execution of the search warrant, the ICAC unit located electronics containing child sex abuse material. Based on evidence obtained during this investigation, Gonzalez-Lajara, who has no other criminal history in Osceola County prior to this, was arrested.
