Osceola Sheriff's seeks public help in homicide investigation

The Osceola County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for information leading to the whereabouts of a man wanted in connection with a Nov. 14 fatal shooting.

Sheriff's Office Violent Crimes Unit has obtained an arrest warrant for Joshua Franceschi, 28, in reference to premeditated murder and battery charges in a shooting on Oxford Drive in Kissimmee, where the shooting victim was pronounced deceased at a local hospital.

Sheriff's officials said Franceschi's current location is unknown, and he is believed to be absconding from law enforcement on those charges.  His photo is included in this story, and anyone with information about Franceschi's location and can help bring him to justice is asked to contact the Osceola County Sheriff's Office immediately at (407) 348-2222 or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.

A warrant was also obtained for Christopher Martin Garrett, 31, in connection to that Nov. 14 murder. He was arrested Dec. 26 in Columbus, Ohio on the warrant, extradited to Osceola County, and booked into the Osceola jail Friday on charges of  premeditated murder, discharging a firearm in public, and improper exhibition of a firearm, and is being held on no bond.

This investigation is ongoing, law enforcement says.
