Good news: You want it to feel more like Florida? You got it!
Temperatures will moderate this week -- and better yet, be more consistent. After a cool start to Monday, highs today and tomorrow will climb into the low to mid-70s.
By Wednesday, and through the weekend forecast period, "A rapid warming trend is on pace over the next several days," the National Weather Service in Melbourne says, as we break back into the 80s, including a forecast high Friday of 83 ... it's still 5 days away, but after the weather roller coaster we've been on for two weeks, won't you take even the prospect of it? Lows by mid-week are only expected to get down to around 60, and to go with this constant warmth, there is little or no rain chance this week.
Another cold front may move through the area ahead of the weekend, but the thinking now is that is will just bring a 20 percent of showers and knock the temperatures back to the low 80s for the weekend.
The only wrinkle in this is that is still may not be beach weather. A high risk of dangerous rip currents will be present at all east central Florida beaches through today and into the week, the NWS states. Entering the surf is not advised.
So, for the next week at least, it looks like Old Man Winter has released his grip on Central Florida, and the heavy coats can go back in the closet!
