The NBA G League announced late Monday night that the Osceola Magic have qualified for its Winter Showcase and will play the South Bay (Calif.) Lakers tonight at 7:30 p.m. and the Sioux Falls (S.D.) Skyforce (the Miami Heat's affiliate) on Friday, Dec. 22 at 3:30 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Orlando and the Orange County Convention Center on International Drive in Orlando.
Tuesday's game will air on ESPNU, and Friday's game will appear live on NBA TV.
The Winter Showcase is the G League's annual in-season scouting event when all teams meet in one location to play in front of NBA general managers and executives from all 30 teams. G League players get a chance to shine in front of scouts in hopes of earning an NBA contract.
