A Kissimmee motorcyclist was killed Sunday evening in Lake County when he fell off his bike and was subsequently run over by a number of other motorists, Florida Highway Patrol reports.
According to a crash report, around 6:22 p.m. Sunday, the 26-year-old was headed south on U.S. Highway 27 near Frank Jarrell Road, about midway between U.S. Highway 192 and State Road 50 in Clermont. He lost control of his motorcycle and fell off, landing in the center southbound lane. At least eight other southbound drivers of other vehicles, including a 31-year-old Kissimmee man and three people from Davenport, did not see the motorcyclist and collided with him.
The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased on scene. None of the other drivers or their passengers were injured, and all remained on scene. The crash remains under investigation.
