Osceola Chamber honors local young leaders of ‘Tomorrow’

Last week, The Osceola Chamber hosted Tomorrow’s Leaders Today, an event where Osceola County acknowledged leaders who’ve made a significant difference in the community in the work they are doing.

Charminta Brown, Vice Chair of the Young Professionals Council for the Osceola Chamber and founder and owner of Brown Joy LLC, said, “Tomorrow’s Leaders Today is an event where we honor young professionals in the community who are doing great and progressive work. We are honoring them so that they can continue to do great work as they move forward in their careers.”

The recipients honored for their outstanding work were Nicole Abodo, a social media analyst and the Founder and President of Ufuoma Incorporated; Yanin Hansen, the Editor in Chief of The Osceola Star; Shirley Dor, the founder and CEO of Dorsainvil Creatives and Haitians Who Blog; Alyssa Noel, the founder and owner of Hello Website Design; Abigail Ellis, the founder of Steps Foundation, Inc. Ed Salgado, the Senior Business Relationship Banker at JP Morgan Chase; Ulysses Escobar, a Mortgage Loan Advisor for ELEV8 Mortgage; and Benjamin Burnett, the Redevelopment Planner for the City of Kissimmee.

One of the recipients, Alyssa Noel said, “It’s manifested. I’ve been working very hard over the past several years. To give that to my community, it’s really nice to be acknowledged for the work that I do, and this is inspiration to keep going. People are noticing, and they will join the cause to give back to the community.”

Noel mentioned how she’s excited to see what the future holds.

“In February, it’s our fourth year doing the Black Business Initiative that we do every single year. This year we are making it bigger and better with an Art Exhibit and invite the community out to support our students and their artwork on how they acknowledge the contributions of African Americans in America,” she said.

As a community, we hope that more people will come out and find ways to uplift and move forward within their county.
