You may have found a bag hung on your door knob this morning (Saturday).
What should you do with it? Put canned or non-perishable food in it, and hang it back up or leave it outside your door, and the Boy Scouts will pick it up. aims to collect food for those who are in need. Many families are just one paycheck away from being hungry and from needing the Food Bank’s services.
The annual Scouting for Food Drive, this year sponsored by AdventHealth, runs this week. You'll be able to leave your donations in those bags for pickup next Saturday around 8 a.m.
Food from this drive directly benefits those who need it most in our communities. Scouts participate in Scouting for Food to fulfill their oath to "help other people at all times." Scouting promotes community involvement and emphasizes youth helping other youth. For more information, visit https://www.cflscouting.org/scouting-for-food/.
