Entertainment industry sources report that Los Angeles law enforcement has reported that Matthew Perry was found dead Saturday in a hot tub at his L.A. home. The actor famous for playing Chandler Bing on the hit NBC sitcom 'Friends' from 1994-2004 was 54.
Neither drugs nor foul play are suspected, TMZ is reporting, also noting first-responders were called "on a call for cardiac arrest."
Friends became what the Los Angeles Times called, "A juggernaut, the anchor of the network’s vaunted Thursday-night “Must-See TV” lineup, and turned Perry and his cast mates, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt Leblanc and Matthew Schwimmer into mega-stars almost overnight."
Perry also appeared in films like 'Fools Rush In' (1997) and 'The Whole Nine Yards' (2000) opposite Bruce Willis and Rosanna Arquette.
