Kissimmee restaurant supervisor arrested, accused of raping teen employee in bathroom

The Osceola County Sheriff's Office says it has taken a man off the streets who they say "committed sex acts" on a teenage girl he knew was a minor at the restaurant they worked at.

Calvin Cooke, 31, was arrested Saturday and charged with sexual battery on a minor, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, transmitting information harmful to a minor and unlawful use of a two-way communication device. He remains in the Osceola County Jail on $33,000 bond. He has no other criminal record in Osceola County.

The arrest occurred Saturday, when they said the parents of the 16-year-old girl, who had been working at the West Kissimmee Pizza Hut, called 911 when she and a fellow employee told them what had occurred earlier in the shift with Cooke, a restaurant manager.

"Simply arresting this guy wasn't enough." Sheriff Marcos Lopez said. "He deserves to be put on blast for the person he is."

An arrest report was not immediately available through court records on Thursday. Records are often sealed when the victim is a minor.

According to police, at 1 a.m. Saturday they were called to the Pizza Hut in reference to a sexual battery in progress, and met with the victim, who had been working at the restaurant for a few weeks. She said that, during her shift, Cooke asked her to clean the ladies' bathroom, then followed her in, locked the door and, "committed sex acts on victim," as Lopez detailed.

When questioned by police, the victim reportedly said she was worried about making Cooke, her supervisor, mad, and was concerned about her job.

Prior to Saturday, Lopez said Cooke had been flirting with the girl on Snapchat, offered her an e-cigarette and sent her sexually explicit pictures. Lopez also noted Cooke acknowledged the victim is a minor and that he committed the acts.

"Like I said, he doesn't care," Lopez said. "I understand parents want their children to get jobs and that teach responsibility. That's a good thing, but monitor what they're doing on their phones and devices. It's your responsibility. We prefer to prevent this from happening rather than responding after a crime takes place."

Police ask anyone else who may have been a victim of Cooke to contact the Sheriff's Office at 407-348-2222.
