As we celebrate Tuesday’s holiday, whatever you call it — Independence Day or the 4th of July or The Night That Scares All Our Dogs (okay, we made that one up) — there are multiple events to celebrate the holiday in Osceola County, if you didn’t catch the Poinciana villages event last weekend. Keep in mind, each of these are outdoor events, so they’re weather permitting. If the recent weather pattern holds, bring water, and watch for it also coming from the sky.
Monumental 4th of July: Kissimmee Lakefront Park (Tuesday, 3-9:30ish p.m.) — This annual city event features live performances on the Festival Lawn, food trucks, and special activities for the kids featuring KUA Kid’s Zone, and to end with a bang, a special presentation of fireworks at 9 p.m. (Parking available in the Osceola County, Toho Square and SunRail garages, and Bryan Street surface lots.)
4th on the Lake: St. Cloud Lakefront Park (Tuesday, 5-9:30 p.m.) — Bring the family and join the City of St. Cloud for it’s annual Fourth of July celebration at the Lakefront. It kicks off at 5 p.m., with music from the Derek Mack Band, food trucks, a beer garden, car show, kids zone, local businesses, and games & prizes. The fireworks show starts over East Lake Toho at 9:15 p.m.
Celebration Independence Day Parade (Tuesday, 9-10 a.m.) and Star-Spangled Spectacular (4-9 p.m.) — start in the morning with the traditional parade up Celebration Avenue, finish it in the afternoon with a day of food, fun, and activities for kids and local musicians in the evening on the Town Square stage with singing, dancing, and the fireworks finale.
4th Annual Fourth of July Fireworks: Old Town (Tuesday, 6-10 p.m.) — Celebrating the Fourth of July is an all-day affair at Old Town, with live music from Rocktown on the Main Stage from 6-10 p.m. plus a fireworks display, from the top of the buildings in the South Entertainment area, beginning at 9 p.m.
Promenade at Sunset Walk Star Spangled 4-Day Celebration (July 1-4) — Sunset Walk starts the party early on Saturday and goes through Tuesday’s holiday, with near non-stop street markets, car shows and music provided by Osaka Fall (Saturday), Scotty B. and The Rundown (Sunday), the Layla Brisbois Band (Monday) and the Headline Concert Set Tuesday with D FALC< Red Mint Trio and Bar Fly, leading into fireworks at 9:45 p.m.
If a theme park is part of your holiday, Disney’s Celebrate America! Fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom is scheduled for 9:15 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, and Epcot features its IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth show with an Americana-inspired overture known as the “Heartbeat of Freedom” on Tuesday at 9 p.m.
