Toho Water boil alert for Harmony, Pine Glen LIFTED

UPDATE: Toho Water lifted the boil water alert at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Late Sunday night, Toho Water Authority issued a precautionary boil water advisory in areas in and to the west of Harmony.

Due to a power outage at the area water treatment facility causing a temporary drop in water pressure, the advisory is in effect in Harmony, ·Harmony West, Amera Trail and Pine Glen. This includes Harmony High and Middle schools, Harmony Community School, and areas along U.S. 192 west and north to Old Melbourne Highway.

Toho Water said about 2,300 customers are affected. The boil water advisory will be in effect until lifted by Toho Water Authority.

Customers are advised to boil their water for one minute prior to consumption (drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes), or use bottled water.
