HCA Florida Osceola Hospital, an affiliate of HCA Florida Healthcare, broke ground Tuesday and will soon begin construction on a new $15.5 million HCA Florida Osceola East Emergency, located in the corner of U.S. Highway 192 and Narcoosse Road in St. Cloud. It is scheduled to open in winter of 2023.
The 11,000 squarefoot facility is expected to serve over 100,000 local residents, and will employ approximately 22 full-time healthcare professionals, HCA officials said.
HCA Florida Osceola East Emergency will feature board certified emergency medicine physicians, nurses and healthcare professionals ready to service the needs of the community with the same capabilities as a main hospital emergency room. It will house 11 emergency exam rooms, a CT scan, digital X-ray, ultrasound, on-site laboratory services, and will be capable of caring for all ages, including pediatrics.
The opening of this new freestanding ER is part of HCA Florida Healthcare’s continued expansion in Osceola County, where its facilities include hospitals in Poinciana and just north of downtown Kissimmee.
“We are pleased to be part of HCA Florida Healthcare’s continued expansion in communities and the Orlando Metro area”, said HCA Florida Osceola Hospital CEO David Shimp. “HCA Florida Osceola East Emergency will be able to offer high-quality, expeditious emergency care around the clock by board certified physicians close to families’ homes.”
