Graduation dates, Dr. Pace’s bon voyage party, 2024-25 dates
Graduation caps will fly May 22-26 for the Class of 2023. Here’s where, when, and who:
May 22: Osceola County School for the Arts (at OCSA on north OBT) at 6 p.m.
All other festivities are at the Silver Spurs Arena:
May 23: Poinciana High School at 1:30 p.m.; Tohopekaliga High School at 5:30 p.m.
May 24: Liberty High School at 9:30 a.m.; Harmony High School at 1:30 p.m.; Osceola High School at 5:30 p.m.
May 25: Celebration High School at 9:30 a.m.; St. Cloud High School at 1:30 p.m.; Gateway High School at 5:30 p.m.
May 26: Osceola Virtual School/Zenith Accelerated Learning Academy at 9:30 a.m.; NeoCity Academy at 12:30 p.m.; Professional and Technical High School (PATHS) at 3:30 p.m.
Superintendent’s outgoing celebration
As announced last year, Osceola County School District Dr. Debra Pace will be retiring at the end of June after a 35-year career in the district as a teacher, administrator and superintendent.
The district will celebrate Dr. Pace’s education career with SDOC with a come-and-go gathering on Friday, June 23 at the Heritage Club in Osceola Heritage Park from 5-7:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend – from former and current employees, students, and parents to community residents and leaders. Join the district to honor Dr. Pace in honoring her with a good-bye and wishing her the best in her well-deserved retirement.
2024-25 academic calendar approved
The Osceola County School Board has approved the 2024-2025 academic calendar for all public schools in the Osceola School District. Highlights of the 20242025 calendar include: Pre-planning for teachers will be five days from Aug. 5-9, 2024; The first day of school for students will be on Aug. 12, 2024; Winter Break will be Dec. 23 through Jan. 6, 2025; Spring Break will be March 17-21, 2025; The last day of school for students will be on May 30, 2025.
