A 35-year-old St. Cloud man died Saturday night when the motorcycle he was riding near Bay Lake Ranch ran off Bronco Drive, Florida Highway Patrol reports.
According to investigators, around 7:20 p.m., the man was aboard a 2023 Kawasaki motorcycle traveling southbound on Bronco, approaching Bridle Drive heading toward Old Melbourne Highway. The rider failed to negotiate a curve, left the lane on the right side, headed into the woods line, and struck a tree. The rider was pronounced deceased on the scene, FHP reports, noting the crash remains under investigation.
Residents say the 25 mph speed limit on Bronco Drive, which features a pair of curves near Bridle, is routinely exceeded, by as much as double the limit.
