The Florida Highway Patrol is asking for the public's help to solve a hit and run investigation from a crash at a bus stop on Narcoossee Road in the early morning hours of March 18, which injured a pedestrian in his 20s.
It occurred at Constance Boulevard, which is just south of Cyrils Drive, at about 4:40 a.m. FHP reports a male driver, possibly in a Tesla, was headed southbound on Narcoossee and possibly lost control, hit a curb and struck the male on the sidewalk. The driver then headed back onto Narcoossee, again heading south, and fled the scene. The victim was seriously injured and transported to HCA Hospital Osceola.
Investigating troopers found a hubcap from a dark-colored Tesla -- possibly dark blue, grey or black -- but not much else, as there were no reported witnesses on scene. FHP says the vehicle involved would have a missing hubcap, damage to the front right, and possibly right sideswipe damage.
FHP is now seeking the public’s assistance with locating the vehicle involved in this crash. Any mechanics or auto body shops that may have repaired a vehicle matching the above vehicle description is asked to contact FHP. Anyone with information regarding this crash is asked to contact FHP at 407-737-2213. If they would like to remain anonymous then they can contact CRIMELINE at 1-800-423-TIPS. The crash remains under investigation.
