2 killed on motorcycle in overnight Boggy Creek-Narcoossee crash

Two people, including a 56-year-old Orlando man, on a motorcycle were killed late Wednesday in a crash with an SUV at the intersection of Boggy Creek Road and Narcoossee Road, Florida Highway Patrol reported.

The northbound lanes of Narcoossee were shut down into the early morning hours, finally cleared around 8 a.m.

According to reports, just after 11 p.m. a Dodge Durango driven by a St. Cloud man headed south on Narcoossee failed to stop and collided with the Suzuki motorcycle being ridden by the two victims at Boggy Creek. The two, both adults, on the motorcycle were thrown off of it, and the motorcycle became imbedded in the Dodge's front. The Dodge then veered off the road, FHP said, and caught fire. The driver was transported to a hospital in Lake Nona with serious injuries.

The motorcycle riders were pronounced deceased on scene; FHP and the Medical Examiner as of this writing are still investigating who was driving the motorcycle, and working to positively identify the second occupant. Thus, the crash remains under investigation.
