Christians around the world will celebrate the Ascension of their Lord on Easter Sunday.
On Saturday, families will gather to have some fun, search for Easter eggs and meet up with the Easter Bunny at events across our area.

Kissimmee Main Street ‘Hop On Downtown’— Join Kissimmee Main Street and the vendors of downtown Kissimmee for “Hop On Downtown,” its Easter-themed family get-together, on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Broadway will close for pedestrian traffic, and enjoy games, entertainment, photos with the Easter Bunny, a bubble garden, a Jelly Bean Hop, the all-new “Chocolate Chase” and, of course, an Easter egg hunt. Osceola History Scavenger Hunt— From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., find the eggs hidden in our historic buildings throughout Pioneer Village. When you find them all, present your scavenger hunt sheet at the desk and receive a prize! Activity included with regular admission.
Association of Poinciana Villages (APV) Annual Spring Fest— Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Poinciana Community Center, 445 Marigold Ave. (Poinciana Community lawn). The fun includes a magic show, face painting, inflatables, balloon artists and pictures with Mr. and Mrs. Bunny. Food trucks will be onsite as well as vendors and crafters. Family Fun Day— Conquer Tech Christian Academy (2956 Pleasant Hill Road) will host a Family Fun Day on Saturday at 10 a.m. The day will feature music, egg hunting, games and more. Family Fun Day is free and open to the public. For more information, call 863-547-5716.
Easter Eggstravaganza —First Baptist Poinciana hosts on Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m. This free event features an egg hunt (5th grade and under), bounce houses, inflatable obstacle course, a 28-foot rock wall, snow cones, cotton candy, free food, family games, thousands of candy and prize filled eggs, fire truck and ambulance tours, and the Big Red Bus onsite ready to take blood donations. There will also be a Gatorland exhibit with a photo-op, vendors and more. Egg hunt begins at 4 p.m. Participants must be registered. Pre-register at poincianachurch.com/easter. Poinciana Library, Find the Library Rabbit— Hop on over to the Library (101 Doverplum Ave.) through April 15 to find the Library Rabbit. A 3-D printed figure of the Library Rabbit will be hidden daily at the Poinciana Library. Tell staff where it is located to receive a free book reward (while supplies last).
St. Cloud Adult Moonlight Egg Hunt— the adults get to have some fun too! St. Cloud Parks and Recreation is hosting an on Friday, April 7 from 7-10 p.m. This nighttime event features music, food trucks, vendors, games, fun and prizes at The Ranch, (5452 Jones Road). St. Cloud Easter Eggstravaganza at The Ranch— On Saturday, this event for children ages 3-12 takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Kids can enjoy crafts, games, a bounce house and an egg hunt. Grace Lutheran Church— the church at 1123 Louisiana Ave., will host an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This day of family fun includes crafts, egg hunt and the Easter Bunny. For more information, call 407-892-4653.
