Kissimmee Police investigated shooting death of 4-year-old in The Oaks

Detectives with the City of Kissimmee Police Department are investigating after a 4-year-old boy was shot and killed inside a home in The Oaks subdivision south of downtown Kissimmee.

According to a KPD release, officers from the agency responded to HCA Florida Osceola Hospital Thursday morning in reference to a child with a gunshot wound. The child later died at the hospital.

The shooting reportedly took place in a home on The Oaks Boulevard, the main thoroughfare through the subdivision. According to police, the child's father, Michael Bragg, 32, is facing charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The incident remains under investigation, and KPD said it would not be releasing more information at the present time. We will bring you any updates as they are released.
