A Michigan woman was killed and two others in the car she was riding in were injured Wednesday night in a two-car accident at Narcoossee Road and Boggy Creek Road, the Florida Highway Patrol reports.
Around 8:40 p.m., a Chevy Silverado driven by a 71-year-old Palm Bay man was turning onto Boggy Creek from northbound Narcoossee, and turned into the path of a southbound Volkswagon Tiguan, striking it in the left side. The Chevy driver was not hurt and remained on scene, while the Volkswagon driver, a 73-year-old Michigan man, a 72-year-old female passenger also from Michigan and a 59-year-old Washington woman were transported to HCA Florida Hospital Osceola as trauma alerts in serious condition; the 72-year-old died at the hospital, FHP reports.
Traffic delays on Narcoossee, especially on the southbound side, were up to an hour according to eyewitness reports.
Per FHP, everyone involved was wearing a seat belt in the crash, which remains under investigation.
