Arrest made in Sunday night Poinciana shooting

Osceola County deputies reported they have made an arrest in a shooting that happened Sunday in a Kissimmee neighborhood. 

Luis Joel Delgado, 30, was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and aggravated stalking. He is being held at the Osceola County Department of Corrections on no bond. 

According to investigators, police responded to to a home in Peppermill Circle in the Poinciana area on Sunday regarding the shooting. The shooting victim sustained a gunshot wound and was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Violent Crimes Unit detectives arrived on the scene and received information the altercation began because Delgado was uninvited to the home, and refused to leave. When he and the victim got into an altercation in the driveway, police say Delgado went to his vehicle, retrieved a firearm, and shot the victim. Delgado was located shortly after the shooting and was placed into custody.
